Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager in Colorado Springs to lead the Meat & Seafood team, ensuring top-quality products and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist in all aspects of department management, including ordering, inventory, staffing, and training, with a focus on freshness, safety, and efficient operations. A proven leadership background in grocery meat is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in meat department; proven leadership experience; 2–3 years grocery retail meat processes preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 90 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to hire, train and develop Meat & Seafood team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Meat & Seafood Manager in department management, merchandising and productivity.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality and team supervision.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning and teamwork.
• Lead in hiring, training and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
