Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to lead a busy Meat & Seafood team. You will help customers make healthy choices, supervise daily operations, and ensure top quality, freshness, and service in a fast-paced store environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in grocery meat operations and proven leadership, with ability to train staff and manage planning, stocking, and safety protocols. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with basic math and weights knowledge.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience and leadership experience.
• 2–3 years of grocery retail experience in Meat department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory control, product quality and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Follow weekly ads, inventory ordering, and department procedures.
• Unload and sort deliveries; operate meat & seafood equipment.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are followed.
