Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to lead the Meat & Seafood team in delivering fresh, high-quality products and exceptional service. You will assist in ordering, inventory controls, staff training, and daily operations to ensure product freshness and team engagement.

Responsibilities include supervising the team, coordinating production and merchandising, enforcing safety guidelines, and supporting a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with basic math knowledge.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience; 2–3 years grocery retail meat experience preferred.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to supervise and train a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, planning, and goal setting with the team.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Know weekly ad items, assist with inventory and ordering; enforce department practices for receiving, stocking, and unloading.
• Unload and sort deliveries; operate and maintain meat & seafood equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and train others to follow them.
