Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to lead the Meat & Seafood team and help customers make healthy choices with outstanding service. This role supports the department manager in inventory, merchandising, and staff development in a fast-paced store environment.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of leadership and grocery meat experience, strong customer service, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with basic math, weights and measures.
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience and 2–3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand 4 hours per shift (up to 8 hours) and lift 25–90 lbs.
• Must follow safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Meat & Seafood Manager in department management and merchandising.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality and team supervision.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure adherence to receiving, stocking, and unloading for freshness and quality.
