Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking workers to examine and pre-sort carcasses post-mortem as part of the harvest process. You will sort carcasses on a moving conveyor to determine wholesomeness for inspection by Food Safety and Inspection Service personnel.

Responsibilities include identifying specific organs and viscera, maintaining quality standards, and addressing issues per regulations. Ongoing duties include post-mortem pre-sortation and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Fresh Meats or QA-related roles.
• High attention to safety and quality standards.
• Able to operate with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-sortation of carcasses on a moving conveyor line.
• Identify and sort head, tail, tongue, thymus gland and viscera.
• Verify the condition of organs and lymph nodes per regulations.
• Address issues per regulations, guidance and training.
• Assist with post-mortem pre-sortation and disposition of parts.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
