Job summary

Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, located in Long Prairie, Minnesota, seeks a dedicated team member to conduct carcass and carcass part sorting, identifying abnormalities before inspection. You will separate normal vs abnormal carcasses, heads, and viscera.

Responsibilities include palpating and incising to detect defects, complying with FSIS regulations, completing training at hire and refresher courses, and training others as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• HS diploma or GED required; knowledge of food safety and quality.
• Must complete Beef Modernization training and Straight knife, steel, hook.

Responsibilities

• Observe, palpate, and incise carcass and carcass parts to determine abnormalities.
• Perform preparation (e.g., cuts) and presentation activities.
• Follow FSIS regulations and company procedures (heads, tongues, viscera, carcass).
• Notify the proper person if you identify a reportable or foreign animal disease.
• Attend training at hire and annual refresher training; train others as needed.
