Job summary

Sysco is seeking a production lead to assist front line supervision, communicate daily objectives and mentor staff. The role involves ordering meat, managing yields and ensuring adherence to safety standards in a refrigerated processing environment.

The position requires attention to detail, accurate data recording and teamwork to meet customer demand while maintaining quality and cost targets. This is a full-time on-site role with a focus on compliance and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions to determine the amounts and sizes of products needed for orders.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
• Prior experience with portion cutting meat.

Responsibilities

• Direct the short-term flow and organization of production area.
• Cut to trim and yield specifications from cut tickets.
• Report discrepancies between cutting tickets and customer orders to supervisor.
• Label products and equipment to meet legal and safety regulations.
• Record data for yield tests and inventory levels.
• Ensure product specifications meet guidelines.
• Maintain USD A compliance in processing and warehouse areas.
• Assemble and tear down equipment at shift start/end.
• Clean and store knives and scales after use.
• Meet deadlines for product readiness and profitability.
• Support safety program and safe work practices.
