Job summary

Sysco Buckhead Meat Florida (Division of Buckhead Meat Co) is seeking a Meat Cutter lead to assist frontline supervision, communicate daily objectives, mentor staff, and order meat as needed. The role requires adhering to quality, yield, and safety standards in a refrigerated processing environment.

You will coordinate with the team to direct short-term production flow, ensure accurate cutting per tickets, and maintain proper labeling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions to determine the amounts and sizes of products needed for orders
• Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language
• Prior experience with portion cutting meat

Responsibilities

• Direct short-term production flow and organize the area with the team
• Cut meat to trim and yield specs per cut tickets
• Report discrepancies between cutting tickets and customer purchases
• Label products and equipment per safety regulations
• Record data for cutting yield tests
• Count inventory and maintain target levels
• Ensure product specifications meet guidelines and USDA standards
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and properly store equipment
