Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions to determine the amounts and sizes of products needed for orders.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language
• Prior experience with portion cutting meat

Responsibilities

• Direct short-term flow and organize production area.
• Cut meat to trim and yield specs per cut tickets.
• Communicate discrepancies between tickets and customer purchases to supervisor.
• Label all products and equipment per regulations.
• Record data to produce assigned cutting yield tests.
• Count inventory levels and maintain stock as directed by supervisor.
• Ensure product specifications meet guidelines.
• Maintain USDA-compliant work areas.
• Assemble/tear down equipment at shift start/end.
• Keep knives and scales properly stored and maintained.
• Support profitability by achieving yields and meeting deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist in safety program implementation and follow safe work practices.
