Job summary

Sysco is seeking a team-oriented Meat Cutter to support frontline supervision and oversee safe, efficient production in a refrigerated processing environment in Florida. You will mentor staff, manage yields and ensure compliance with USDA standards, labeling, and safety protocols.

The role requires accuracy in cutting, data recording, and cross-functional communication to meet daily objectives and production goals. Prior meat-cutting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and conversions to determine the amounts and sizes of products needed for orders.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
• Prior experience with portion cutting meat.

Responsibilities

• Direct the short-term flow and organization of production area with the team.
• Cut meat accurately to trim and yield specifications as per tickets.
• Label products and equipment to comply with legal and safety regulations.
• Record data to produce cutting yield tests.
• Count inventory and maintain supervisor-set levels.
• Ensure product specs meet guidelines and USDA standards.
• Assemble and tear down equipment at shift start/end.
• Maintain knives, scales and tools properly.
