Job summary

Forest Hills Foods in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a part-time Meat Department Associate. You will prepare and package meat products, merchandise items, and stock the meat case in line with the Flight plan.

You’ll work with team members to meet store goals and provide a positive guest experience. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and at least one year of retail experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented work style.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce meat products according to production planner.
• Package and label meat products per program plan.
• Merchandise meat products according to flight plan and merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with meat products, rotate and date cases/buckets.
• Notify Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Collaborate with other departments and stores to drive growth.
• Perform basic arithmetic for weights, measures and recipes.
• Communicate tasks and cleaning steps to associates.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety and guest experience guidelines.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
