Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of meat/poultry inspection or related processing experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant agriculture/science field is required to facilitate proper crediting.

Responsibilities

• Perform ante-mortem and post-mmortem inspections at meat and poultry facilities.
• Evaluate sanitation procedures and HACCP plan effectiveness.
• Educate firms on regulations and initiate regulatory actions when needed.
• Relocate or cover multiple counties including Lyon, Redwood, Murray and Cottonwood as required.
