Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Meat Clean-up Clerk (Bottino NJ) to maintain cleanliness and safety across the Meat Department. You will perform sanitation duties, monitor equipment, and assist with stocking and customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The role requires ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 90 pounds occasionally, tolerate cold environments, and follow health and safety regulations as part of daily tasks. Training is provided to support prot"

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations.
• Ability to regularly lift 35 lbs., and occasionally 80-90 lbs.
• Work with products without negative allergic consequences.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine duties.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Follow all time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment per standards.
• Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
• Assemble and disassemble Meat Department equipment.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report low levels.
• Work in refrigerated and cold storage areas.
• Check prices and locate items in the store.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Stand at workstation for full shift; may exceed 8 hours.
• Understand and adhere to COO determinations for products.
