Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Bench Department Manager for the Meat department to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, maintain meat products, and ensure safety and quality standards. This individual will drive guest service and department performance in a fast-paced retail setting.

This role requires a high school education and 3-4 years of progressive supermarket experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and lead a team through training, scheduling, merchandising, and cost

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• 3-4 years progressive supermarket experience.
• Ability to supervise people, including training and development.
• Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensures guests receive polite, friendly service from the meat department.
• Accountable for achieving budgeted financial results.
• Prepare product for sale (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price).
• Maintain in-store selling culture, merchandising programs, and sales themes.
• Responsible for department scheduling and compliance with standards.
• Teach and train departmental staff and develop a talent bench.
• Ensure departmental sanitation and safe food handling practices.
