Job summary

ShopRite of Bound Brook in Bound Brook, NJ is seeking a Meat Clean-up Clerk to support Meat Department operations. You will perform cleaning, sanitation, and basic maintenance of equipment and work areas to ensure a safe, sanitary, and attractive department for customers.

The role requires ability to read and understand English, withstand cold environments, lift up to 80-90 lbs, and stand for long shifts. You will work with team members to meet daily standards and service priorities.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak English fluently.
• Basic math proficiency required.
• Stand/walk for duration of shift.
• Able to lift 35 lbs and occasionally 80-90 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures (refrigerated areas).

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment per standards.
• Keep floors free of debris and spills.
• Assemble/disassemble Meat Department equipment (band saws, grinders).
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report low levels.
• Work in refrigerated areas and cold storage as required.
• Adhere to food safety and Co.O.O.L. regulations.
• Operate equipment with safeguards and report issues.
• Follow all Company rules, policies, and safety procedures.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance and cooperate with team.
