Job summary

ShopRite in Bridgeton, NJ is seeking a Meat Clean-up Clerk to maintain a clean, sanitary meat department and assist with related duties. You will clean surfaces, operate equipment, monitor supplies, and help ensure safety and compliance in a cold, busy environment.

Responsibilities include stocking, pricing, and assisting customers while upholding the company’s service priorities and quality standards. The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 90 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Adhere to health and civil code regulations.
• Able to lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work with products and handle dust/chemicals.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment per standards.
• Keep floors clear of debris and spills.
• Assemble/disassemble Meat Department equipment such as band saws and grinders.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and inform manager when low.
• Work in refrigerated and freezing environments as required.
• Check prices and locate items in the store.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Stand at workstation for the full shift, potentially exceeding 8 hours.
