Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience requirements stated: No prior experience necessary.
• Basic math calculations required.
• Must be able to grind and stack beef in temperatures ranging from 28 to 32 degrees.
• Other requirements include reliable phone and basic clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workers engaged in preparing meat.
• Responsible for profitability of the meat operation within company policy.
• Maintain meat department paperwork and records daily/weekly.
• Provide friendly, prompt service and resolve customer complaints.
• Train workers in food preparation, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for efficiency and standards.
• Record and maintain accurate bookkeeping for weekly and monthly meat purchases.
• Assign duties and workstations to employees as needed.
• Maintain inventory and shrink control; manage order quantities.
• Work within the meat operations budget and monitor gross profit.
• Analyze issues like theft and wastage and implement solutions.
• Ensure proper product rotation on receipt and stocking.
• Suggest improvements to procedures and staff performance.
