Hy-Vee is seeking an Assistant Meat Department Manager to lead the meat department, support the Department Manager, and ensure the freshest products at competitive prices. You will supervise Meat Specialists and Clerks, train new employees, and uphold safety and sanitation standards across the department.

Responsibilities include customer service, product rotation, case filling, and assisting customers with meal solutions.

Qualifications

Must be able to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
Ability to perform arithmetic with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Ability to file, post, mail materials and guide people.

Responsabilités

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service to customers.
Greets customers and learns names to address them by name when possible.
Assist customers by escorting to products, securing items, loading or unloading heavy items, and relaying customer requests.
Answer phones and provide friendly service, including taking product orders.
Work with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Ensure department standards are met and products are fresh, rotated and replenished.
Prepare cutting lists for case fills and offer meal solutions and preparation advice.
Handle and resolve customer issues; conduct cutting tests.
Order new items and ensure proper temperatures and storage procedures to prevent shrink.
