Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Department Manager to lead the Meat department with a focus on customer service, performance, and profitability. You will oversee hiring, training, scheduling, pricing, and merchandising while ensuring freshness and sanitation throughout the department.

The role requires the ability to train staff, manage inventories, and collaborate with store leadership to meet department goals. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this exempt position.

Formación

• High School or equivalent required; Hy-Vee food safety training encouraged.
• Over one year of related work experience preferred.
• Dale Carnegie is encouraged; strong customer-service focus expected.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains a positive attitude and creates a friendly atmosphere through teamwork.
• Leads department to deliver friendly, prompt, courteous service and sets a good example.
• Sets department standards for service, cleanliness, sanitation and profitability.
• Greet customers and learn their names to personalize service where possible.
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate department staff; manage schedules and workload.
• Monitor pricing, invoicing and department bookkeeping; analyze sales trends and plan ads.
