Hy-Vee in Iowa is seeking an Assistant Meat Department Manager to support the Department Manager in delivering fresh, high-quality products and friendly service. You will help lead the team, train staff, and ensure proper meat handling, trimming, labeling, and display standards across the department.

This role requires strong customer focus, the ability to guide guests in selecting products, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to provide prompt, efficient customer service and treat customers as priority.
• Must be able to learn and recall customer names, and greet them by name when possible.
• Ability to lead a team and work with coworkers to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Familiar with meat department operations and display rotation basics.

Responsabilités

• Assist Department Manager in presenting fresh, high quality products at competitive prices.
• Train and supervise Meat Specialists and other staff.
• Ensure proper temperatures, sanitation, and storage procedures.
• Prepare cutting lists and assist with trimming, grinding, and packaging.
• Provide meal solutions and guidance on preparation to customers.
• Handle customer issues and wrap, weigh, label products as needed.
• Maintain department standards and cleanliness; support in other areas when required.
