Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with at least 4 years experience in customer service.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, journals, and technical procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information to managers, clients, and the public.
• Ability to calculate figures, discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, mass and volume.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations.
• Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and develop relationships with large customers.
• Supervise meat department activities including product placement, rotation, signage, and displays.
• Develop schedules and monitor performance; recommend discipline as needed.
• Train employees in job responsibilities and safety procedures.
• Interview candidates and make hiring recommendations.
• Discipline employees when necessary and recommend terminations.
• Ensure HACCP compliance and conduct HACCP audits.
• Review inventory for rotation and manage shrinkage.
• Maintain accurate shelf pricing reflecting current market conditions.
• Oversee receiving of meat products and ensure proper paperwork.
• Maintain computer inventory levels with regular physical inventories.
• Supervise ordering of meat products to maintain competitive pricing and reduce spoilage.
• Operate equipment like Toledo scale and Dennison label machine.
• Coordinate pallet storage with proper tag dates.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize merchandising, including impulse areas.
• Perform weekly self-audits of the Meat department.
