Job summary

Redner's Markets is seeking a Meat Manager to direct all functions of the Meat Department and drive sales and profitability. You will develop weekly schedules, coordinate merchandising plans with the Store Director, and manage inventory to minimize shortages and overstocks while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise and train Meat Department staff, monitor performance, and ensure a clean, customer-friendly department.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.
• Ability to read and write to tag merchandise, order and rotate inventory.
• Strong analytical skills to review reports and keep the department profitable.
• Excellent oral and written communication with customers, employees and vendors.
• Dexterity for cutting and trimming meat.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all functions of the Meat Department.
• Prepare weekly schedules based on sales projections and workload.
• Collaborate with Store Director on merchandising plans and space management.
• Order merchandise and manage inventory to minimize shortages and overstocks.
• Ensure adherence to health regulations, labeling laws, and safety procedures.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate Meat Department staff.
