Redner's Markets in New Jersey is seeking a Meat Department Supervisor to direct all functions and activities of the Meat Department to achieve sales and profit goals. You will lead scheduling, merchandising, inventory, and staff development in a fast-paced retail meat department.

Responsibilities include ordering, receiving, cutting and trimming meat, enforcing health and safety standards, coaching employees, and maintaining a clean, customer-friendly department image.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Ability to read and write to tag merchandise, order and maintain inventory and rotation.
• Analytical skills to review reports and keep the department profitable.
• At least two years of meat cutter experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication with customers, employees and vendors.
• Dexterity for cutting and trimming meats.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds (40% of the time).
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds (40% of the time).

Responsabilités

• Prepare weekly schedules based on projected sales and workload.
• Collaborate with Store Director on localized merchandising plans.
• Follow department plans for space management based on movement and demand.
• Order merchandise and control inventory to minimize stockouts and overstocks.
• Receive, weigh and breakdown meat and related products.
• Cut and trim merchandise as directed by company standards.
• Supervise, train, schedule and conduct annual performance reviews of Meat Department staff.
