The Meat Manager will create weekly schedules, coordinate merchandising plans with the Store Director, and manage inventory while upholding health and safety regulations. Strong leadership and experience in meat-cutting are required.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Two years experience as a meat cutter preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Dexterity for cutting and trimming meat.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must follow safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all functions and activities of Meat Department to achieve sales and profit goals.
• Prepare weekly schedules based on projected sales and workload.
• Develop merchandising plans with Store Director for department.
• Order merchandise and control inventory to minimize stockouts and overstocks.
• Maintain records, reports, and bi-weekly inventory and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Supervise, train, and conduct performance reviews for Meat Department staff.
• Ensure department cleanliness, attractiveness, and proper labeling.
