Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Over one year of related meat department experience preferred.
• Hy-Vee food safety training and related courses.
• Cornell Home Study food safety course (Effective 03/07/96) may be included.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.
• Assist department manager to maintain freshness and display quality.
• Prepare cutting lists for case fills.
• Train new employees and enforce sanitation standards.
• Handle customer issues and suggest meal solutions.
• Wrap, weigh, and label stock.
• Maintain proper temperatures and storage procedures.
• Execute department guidelines and safety policies.
