Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Computer meat program experience.
• Hy-Vee food safety training.
• Cornell Home Study food safety course (Effective 03/07/96).
• Dale Carnegie training encouraged.
• Over 1 year related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, friendly customer service in the Meat department.
• Greet customers and assist with finding products and making recommendations.
• Ensure department standards and freshness of products; rotate display case items.
• Train new employees and supervise Meat Specialists and Clerks.
• Assist in cutting, tenderizing, grinding and portioning meat products.
• Maintain sanitation and proper storage temperatures; adhere to company guidelines.
