Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Meat Department Manager to lead daily operations within the Meat department. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, maintaining product freshness, and guiding staff to deliver high-quality meat products at competitive prices.

The position requires strong leadership, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to manage cutting, weighing, labeling, and wrapping tasks while supporting Department Manager and other supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Hy-Vee food safety training completed or in-progress.
• Cornell Home Study food safety course completed.
• Dale Carnegie training encouraged.
• Over one year of meat department-related experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service to shoppers.
• Smiles and greets customers and addresses them by name when possible.
• Assists customers with locating products, securing items and carrying heavy loads.
• Maintains department standards, rotates display case items and checks freshness.
• Prepares cutting lists, assists with meal solutions and offers preparation advice.
• Trains new employees and ensures proper sanitation and hygiene in the department.
