ShopRite of Manchester in Lakehurst, NJ is seeking a Meat Manager to lead the Meat Department, supervise associates, and drive sales, safety, and customer experience.

You will ensure compliance with food safety standards, train staff, manage schedules, and maintain department presentation while delivering quality service.

Strong leadership and communication are essential to motivate the team and achieve department goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for a scheduled shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Regularly lift 35 lbs. with occasional 80-90 lbs. effort.
• Work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and cleaning agents.
• Able to work in varying temperatures and in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Meat Department and its associates.
• Lead safety, customer experience, and department presentation efforts to meet goals.
• Train and onboard new department associates in line with policy.
• Ensure proper stocking, pricing, and rotation of meat products.
