Job summary

ShopRite of Franklin in Franklin, NJ is seeking a Meat Manager to direct all Meat Department operations, supervise associates, and drive sales, customer experience, and profitability under the guidance of the General Store Manager.

You will uphold safety standards, HACCP compliance, proper temperature logs, and product quality while coaching staff and maintaining department presentation. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English and analyze information.
• Basic math skills for counting and inventory.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Basic computer functions.
• Lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Work with products and allergens.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Climb ladders to access overhead storage.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Lead and engage associates to meet department goals.
• Adhere to schedules and attendance policies.
• Collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Meat Department functions and associates to meet goals.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and HACCP compliance.
• Ensure proper product handling and temperature logs.
• Train and onboard department associates.
• Maintain merchandising, pricing, and stocking standards.
• Uphold company standards for safety, presentation, and efficiency.
