Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in grocery retail meat department preferred
• Journeyman cutter or apprenticeship program preferred
• Experience with natural foods a plus

Responsibilities

• Stocks meat cases with quality product and proper pricing.
• Maintains clean, organized meat department and storage areas.
• Monitors product rotation and ensures temperature control.
• Assists customers with purchases and product selection at the meat counter.
• Cuts, trays, and packages meat/seafood per standards.
• Operates meat department equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepares specialty meat/seafood products per recipe standards.
• Ensures compliance with Health Department guidelines.
