Job summary

Whole Foods Market Denver is seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to cut, prepare, display and sell meat products, delivering friendly service and upholding food safety standards.

You will work with team members, mentor trainees, ensure proper stocking, pricing, and rotation, and support store programs while complying with health and safety regulations.

This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, ability to work nights/weekends, and a passion for natural foods.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.
• UK Exceptions may apply.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (i.e. sausage, oven ready products, and cured meats).
• Checks product to make sure it meets WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors and supports assigned Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service and assists customers in a timely manner.
