Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is hiring for a Meat Department Team Member in New Jersey. You’ll receive, rotate, cut, wrap and merchandize fresh and processed meats, assist with seafood, prepared foods, cheeses and deli, and support rotisserie chicken operations.

Maintain sanitation and safety standards while serving our members. Role requires prior meat cutting experience and a training/apprenticeship. On-site work, lifting, and a fast-paced environment are expected, with opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Completion of a training program / apprenticeship required.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures; ensures cases are stocked and properly displayed.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
