Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a meat department team member to assist members, prepare special cuts, and maintain meat, seafood, and deli sections. You will weigh, wrap, and label products, ensure case presentation, and uphold sanitation standards in a fast-paced club environment.

Responsibilities include rotating stock, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with other departments to meet company quality standards and serve members promptly and courteously.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engage and assist Members by making recommendations on meat, poultry, and seafood and answering questions.
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cut, grind, and process fresh meats to company standards.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to standards.
• Ensure meat cases showcase current products and inventory is maintained.
• Rotate meats and ensure proper stocking of meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses.
