Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a dedicated meat department team member to assist members with expert product knowledge and precise cutting, wrapping and labeling of fresh meats. You will help maintain stocking levels, ensure sanitation, and support daily club operations with a focus on safety and service.

The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to GOLD club standards, and delivering a positive shopping experience for our members in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to our Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• C uts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
