Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Meat Cutter to manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood to company standards while aiding with inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising and other operations that require attention to detail.

This fast-paced role demands efficiency and a commitment to guest satisfaction as you support multiple departments and ensure product freshness. Candidates must have 2+ years cutting meat and complete internal certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in cutting meat.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• All Meat Cutters must be certified within The Fresh Market’s internal training platform within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of products/weekly ad items throughout the store and assist guests in finding products and complete meal solutions across departments.
• Handle, slice, and trim a variety of the department’s meat and seafood products while maintaining quality levels Per TFM standards.
• Monitor the temperature of cases, spillovers, and storage areas.
• Enforce department practices regarding receiving, stocking, and unloading deliveries to ensure freshness and quality.
