Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Meat Cutter to ensure a well‑stocked department and provide superior customer service. You will cut, trim, bone, package, and display fresh meat daily while maintaining strict food safety standards.

The role requires 1+ year of related experience, meat-cutting skills with equipment, and adherence to rotation and sanitation procedures. Training and certification programs are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience and/or training in meat cutting.
• Power jack training completed.
• Meat Cutter training and certification must be completed within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, trims, and bones meat for display or as ordered; prepares products for display.
• Operates equipment (grinder, saw, slicer, sharpener) and labels packages.
• Maintains sanitation standards and rotates product per SOPs.
• Assists customers with selections and provides product information.
