H-E-B in Houston, TX is seeking a Meat Cutter to keep the department well stocked and maintained while delivering superior customer service. You will prepare, wrap, and merchandise fresh meat for display and counters, ensure accurate weights, rotation, and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires knowledge of meat-cutting equipment, ability to assist customers with selections, and a commitment to sanitation. 18+ with 1+ years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• > 18+ age requirement.
• 1+ year of related experience or training.
• Knowledge of product rotation, store sanitation, shrink awareness, MS Outlook (Word, Excel).
• Meat-cutting skills (saw, grinder).
• Customer service and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Cuts, trims, bones meat for display or as ordered by Customer, according to company standards.
• Operates electric grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer.
• Weighs / wraps / labels product packages for counter display; rotates product as needed.
• Rotates product in meat cooler; ensures proper storage practices.
• Uses MCS technology to generate production list and track "re-works".
• Assists customers with product questions.
• Scans in items on Telxon for production.
