Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Meat Cutter to prepare, package, and merchandise fresh meat daily while upholding food safety standards. You will cut, trim, bone, and weigh meat for display, operate equipment (grinder, saw, slicer), and rotate stock in a fast-paced retail environment.

You’ll assist customers and maintain clean, compliant displays. Candidates should have meat-cutting skills, customer service experience, and a certification/training in meat cutting.

Qualifications

• Meat-cutting skills (saw, grinder) and knowledge of display preparation.
• Customer service and communication skills.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards and department SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, trims, and bones meat for display or customer orders.
• Operates electric grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer.
• Weights, wraps, and labels product; rotates stock.
• Maintains display cases and adheres to sanitation standards.
• Assists customers with product questions and selections.
