Whole Foods Market in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to assist with cutting, prep, display, and sale of beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry. You will ensure fresh, quality products and provide courteous service to customers.

This role requires knowledge of meat cuts, safety standards, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Training through the Butcher Apprentice Program is available; 14+ months retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Successful completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises meat products.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise.
• Maintains sampling program and monitors spoilage.
• Provides excellent customer service and answers phones promptly.
• Ensures signs and pricing are accurate.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties.
