Job summary

Save A Lot is looking for a Meat Cutter to maintain the meat department to company standards, trim and prepare standard cuts, and support sales growth. You’ll collaborate with store teammates to display products attractively and ensure freshness.

The role requires basic math, reading/writing English, and a commitment to safety and sanitation in a temperature-controlled environment. Prior meat-cutting exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in basic math required.
• Must read, write and speak in English.

Responsibilities

• Cuts and packages beef, pork and poultry according to company policies.
• Wraps, weighs and prices cuts based on guidelines.
• Label packages according to COOL, USDA and company standards.
• Ensures displays and signs are updated and meat is merchandised to maximize sales.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat on delivery to maintain quality and cold chain.
• Maintains sanitation and adheres to safety policies daily.
• May assist with product ordering and other duties as needed.
