Job summary

Save A Lot is seeking a Meat Cutter to ensure the meat department meets company standards and drives profitability. You will trim and prepare standard cuts, serve customers, and maintain high cleanliness and organization in a temperature-controlled environment.

This role requires 18+ years, a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math, and reliable English communication. Willingness to work across store areas is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in basic math.
• Able to read, write and speak English; Spanish or other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cuts and packages beef, pork and poultry per policies.
• Wraps, weighs and prices cuts per guidelines.
• Labels packages per COOL, USDA and company standards.
• Maintains displays and case signs to maximize sales.
• Assists with product ordering.
• Rotates dated products per policy.
• Prepares and displays meat attractively.
• Receives and stores meat to maintain cold chain.
