Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a Meat department role in Ocean Township, NJ. You will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, while assisting members and supporting deli and seafood areas as needed.

The role emphasizes maintaining sanitation, proper labeling, and adherence to club policies, with a focus on fast, friendly service and accurate stock management.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members with meat, poultry, and seafood inquiries and recommendations.
• Prepares special meat cuts ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, weighs, wraps and labels meat/poultry/seafood to standards.
• Maintains inventory and proper stocking of meat and seafood cases.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, displays, and department areas.
• Follows safety and sanitation standards and adheres to club policies.
