Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is hiring for a Meat Department Team Member in New Jersey. You will receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, assist Members with questions, and recommend products to ensure a high-quality shopping experience.

Responsibilities include weighing, packaging, labeling cuts of meat, inspecting deliveries, maintaining clean work areas, and complying with safety standards to uphold club policies.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience in meat/deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood; make product recommendations.
• Weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood; assist in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• Inspect and store meat upon delivery; ensure quality standards are met.
• Rotate items in cases according to expiration dates and maintain stocked displays.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, fixtures, and display cases; maintain club policies and procedures.
