Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Cutter in Maryland to stock, cut, wrap, and merchandise meat, poultry, and seafood, including special cuts for Members. You will help in the rotisserie area and ensure meat quality and safety standards are met daily.

As part of a team, you’ll uphold club policies, assist customers, maintain inventory and signage, and support other departments as needed. The job emphasizes teamwork, speed, and accuracy, with a focus on delivering consistent, friendly service

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members with meat, poultry, and seafood recommendations.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Ensures the meat case and related departments are stocked and organized.
• Rotates products according to expiration dates and maintains sanitation.
• Inspects received meat and ensures quality standards are met.
• Performs other duties and supports cross-department needs as required.
