Job summary

Food City is seeking a dependable team member for our meat department in Tennessee. You will cut, grind, slice, rotate, and merchandise fresh meat while assisting with ordering, receiving, and display. Maintain clean displays, proper dating, and sanitary areas, ensuring courteous service and HACCP compliance.

Applicants should be 18+; meat-cutting experience is a plus but not required. On-site attendance is required for scheduled shifts to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions and perform routine tasks.
• On-site attendance required for scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Organize cooler and stock cooler.
• Rotate product.
• Maintain neat display cases and proper dating.
• Keep work station clean and sanitary.
• Sanitize and disinfect department twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Enforce and maintain HACCP program.
