Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department team member to support fresh and prepared foods, including meats, seafood, and deli areas. You will assist members, prepare cuts, and ensure products are properly labeled and displayed.

The position requires completion of a training program or apprenticeship and prior meat-cutting experience, with 18+ age. Expect a fast-paced environment, strict sanitation, and opportunities to move across departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program or apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand-wrapping machines is preferred.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist members by answering questions about meat, poultry, and seafood and prepare special cuts.
• Cut, grind, weigh, wrap, package, and label meat, poultry, and seafood to standards.
• Keep meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases stocked and rotated by expiry dates.
• Maintain sanitation and safety; inspect deliveries and store products properly.
• Perform other duties and may work in other departments as needed.
