Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an experienced Meat Department team member to receive, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats. You will assist in seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, and deli areas, and help in rotisserie and full-service deli while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to our Members by making recommendations about meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards; weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts.
• Maintains inventory levels and ensures the meat department is fully stocked and clean.
• Rotates products according to expiration dates and disposes of damaged items per policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains attendance as required.
