Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a meat department team member in Bangor, ME. The role focuses on receiving, cutting, wrapping, and merchandising fresh and processed meats, while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include assisting Members, preparing requested cuts, and ensuring proper stocking and presentation of meat, seafood, and deli items. Teamwork and a positive attitude are essential to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members by answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special meat cuts ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Maintains meat department case signage and display quality.
• Maintains sanitation and safety in the meat department.
