Job summary

The Fresh Market in Tallahassee is hiring a Meat Cutter to join our team. You will manage, cut, and trim meat and seafood to The Fresh Market standards, helping maintain inventory, pricing integrity, and merchandising while delivering a first‑class guest experience.

This role requires 2+ years of meat cutting experience, TFMA certification within 90 days, and willingness to work 3am–11am with occasional weekends. We offer competitive benefits and schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in cutting meat.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Meat Cutter must be TFMA certified within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Handle production for key items to support Meat-Seafood, Deli-CMS, and other departments as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of products/weekly ad items throughout the store and assist guests in finding products and complete meal solutions.
• Handle, slice, expertly cut and trim a variety of department meats and seafood while ensuring quality is in line with TF M A standards.
• Monitor temperature of cases, spillovers, and storage areas.
• Enforce and follow department practices regarding receiving, stocking, and unloading deliveries to ensure freshness and quality.
• Ensure department adherence to all safety requirements and protocols, including food safety per TF M A policies.
