Job summary

ShopRite of Aberdeen in Aberdeen, NJ is seeking a Meat Cutter Clerk to cut and trim meat, maintain a clean and attractive department, and assist customers with selections while following company policies. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 90 lbs, work in refrigerated environments, and adhere to safety and sanitation standards.

You will be responsible for stocking meat cases, rotating stock, and ensuring proper pricing and labeling.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Must possess strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 35 lbs., and occasionally lift 80-90 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to operate Meat Department equipment and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Cut and trim meat according to company specifications.
• Rotate products and keep meat cases stocked and properly labeled.
• Check refrigeration equipment and report issues.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Follow department sanitation and safety procedures.
